Hello everyone

I'm a EU citizen and I'm planning to relocate to Sweden and register as a self-employed. I run a digital marketing business - about 90 percent of my clients are based in the US. What steps are needed to set up a business? How much tax is paid? I have found different answers online, ranging from 30% tax to 62% tax. How much would I pay in tax for an average income of 30,000-40,000 Euros a year? Are there any companies that can set up your business and handle the paperwork?

Thank you.

    Hello,

To set up a business as self-employed in Sweden you need to register yourself at the tax office. You must apply for F-tax and register yourself for VAT. With an income of 30 000 – 40 000 euros your tax rate will be around 35 percent. This includes the social fees.

At Skattepunkten we can help you with all the paperwork, that’s includes the registration at the tax office, bookkeeping, tax returns, taxes etc.

Just contact us at skattepunkten.se and we will help you.

    Kind regards

Is it still around 35% if you start a enskild firma or is it only AB?

35 % is if start a enskild firma. For a AB it is I little bit more complicated since you can withdraw money as dividend or salary, the company pay tax on the profit etc.
