Uk Personal Allowance in Sweden
I am resident in Sweden and pay tax here on my worldwide income. I just read online that as a UK national ,I should be able to claim the Uk personal tax free allowance ( currently around £10 000pa) on income that is derived from the UK.
Over the last few years I have received income from my UK investments and have paid the 30% tax on that income here in Sweden
I receive the income gross and then have just submitted the totals in SEK to skatteverket and paid CGT @ 30%
My question is therefore.....am I able to claim this allowance? ( which would be around 30 000SEK pa)? And , if so, Am i correct in thinking that I could claim tax back for the previous 5 yrs tax return?
Steve ( reply in Swedish is ok ;)
